Powering the XT6 is a 3.6L V6 engine that sends power to the front wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. The XT6 is rated at 310 horsepower and all-wheel drive is available. The V6 engine in the XT6 features a cylinder deactivation mode, meaning that the car can shut off some cylinders to save fuel when not under load. The XT6 comes in one of two different trims: Premium Luxury and Sport. The Premium Luxury trim features an attractive wood-trimmed interior, while the Sport model features carbon fiber throughout the interior for a more modern feel. Exterior styling also differs between Sport and Premium Luxury models, with the Premium Luxury featuring brightwork around the grill and windows along with 20-inch wheels. Sport models on the other hand offer a blacked-out grill, clear tail lenses and a choice of 20-inch or 21-inch wheels Cadillac has placed a premium on technology and safety for their new XT6 and standard features include a forward collision alert system, automatic emergency braking, a front pedestrian braking system, front and rear park assist systems, lane-change assist, rear cross traffic and side blind spot alert systems as well as a lane-keep assist function. Optional technology on the XT6 includes Cadillac's advanced adaptive cruise control, automatic parking assist with braking, rear pedestrian alert, a heads-up display, night vision, reverse automatic braking and a hitch guidance system. The Cadillac XT6 also gets six USB ports, along with an optional HD surround sound system. Additional available tech includes a navigation system, 4G LTE and a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto a wireless charger and a teen driving mode.
